experiment: pineapple-saffron alignment

it’s prettay fuckin sweet to be back on planet cocktail.

2 oz pineapple-vodka bounce (basically an infusion, but i like the term ‘bounce’)
1 oz lemon
1 oz saffron syrup (3 long threads in 1/2 cup hot water + 1/2 cup sugar)
blackpepper-sugar rim

a nice, clean, simple drink. frothy (from the pineapple?) and a beautiful golden color.

i would make this again. maybe next time i’d boost the saffron power, and maybe swap out a quarter of the vodka with gin.

cuesa’s spring cocktail night. i’m goin. but i’m looking to get out before then, too. oakland has gone bitchcakes with new restaurants: sidebar, marzano, pican, adesso and/or bellanico. also jen and i have scheduled a soft-date at nopalito, will probably kick things off with a drink at nopa.

when am i gonna make it back to camino or (*sigh*) pizzaiolo?
